Michael Hanrahan oversees the implementation of DECC geoscience policy and is responsible for the designated geoscience regulatory framework. Managing GSRO includes ensuring that applications are dealt with in a robust and timely manner and activities are regulated efficiently. There is compliance with work programme commitments that are monitored and ensure fees are paid, production from the Corrib gas field is monitored and there is oversight and regulation of the commissioning of the Kinsale Gas field complex. All obligated technical data are received, validated, and recorded. Acreage reports are published quarterly and laid before the Oireachtas every six months.
