Responsibility at Principal Officer level for the operations of the Communications Unit and Press Office Unit.

This includes:

the management and coordination of all media engagements undertaken by and on behalf of the Minister and officials (particularly press releases and statements)
the ongoing formulation and implementation of the department’s external communications strategy and frameworks
ongoing formulation and implementation of the department’s internal communications strategy
co-ordination of EU Cohesion funding communications
management of the department’s website, intranet and social media presence
