Frank is responsible at Principal Officer level for the ICT Service Delivery unit.
The ICT Service Delivery unit is responsible for the management of the ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) infrastructure, computer network, servers and systems that support the operations of the Department of Education and Skills. The purpose of the unit is to exploit the capabilities of ICT for the benefit of the Department’s Business Units and Customers. The unit includes the Payroll Operations section which is responsible for the timely issue of the Primary Teachers, Post Primary Teachers, Non-teaching staff and Retired Teachers’ payrolls. The unit also assesses and advises on the capabilities and appropriateness of ICT technologies and recommends technologies that will realise significant business efficiencies for the Department whilst ensuring value for money.
