Celine Fitzgerald is an experienced business leader having held leadership roles across the public, private and non-profit sectors. In September 2024, Celine was appointed as Interim Chief Executive Officer for Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, the Government’s new national competitive research and innovation funding agency, established through the amalgamation of Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and the Irish Research Council (IRC).
Over her career she has held various senior leadership positions with a range of organisations including, Eircom, Vodafone Ireland, Rigney Dolphin, Goal Global, and has run her own consulting business for over 12 years, providing consultancy services across key areas including strategy and change management to a number of national organisations. Celine also has extensive experience at Board level; she holds/has held Board positions with VHI, Ervia, PTSB, she is also currently Chair of Pieta. Celine is a Chartered Director and a Certified Bank Director.
