Responsibility at Principal level for Public Service Transformation Delivery.

The unit is responsible for implementation of:

Better Public Services; Civil Service Renewal; Public Service Innovation Fund/FutureTech Challenge;
Implementation of service and strategic design of better integrated public services across the Public Service, including the design and programme management elements of the Government’s ‘Life Events’; programme and the Government digital wallet.
Public Service Transformation engagement events (e.g. Transformation pillar conference, the Civil Service Excellence and Innovation Awards);
Public and employee sentiment analysis on the transformation agenda (Civil Service Business Survey, Civil Service Employee Engagement Survey, Civil Service Customer Survey); and Emerging technology experimentation and upskilling.

The Unit also supports the transformation Governance framework including the PST subcommittee of the Management Board and the Public Service Leadership Board, Civil Service Management Board. The Unit is also the National Coordinating Authority for the EU Commission’s Technical Support Instrument.
