Culture Ireland is responsible for the promotion of Irish arts worldwide. Creating and supporting opportunities for Irish artists and companies to present their work at strategic international showcases, festivals, venues and arts markets. This is made possible by the regular funding scheme supporting the international presentation of work by Irish artists and companies, by supporting a number of artform showcases in Ireland and the operation of See Here, a scheme supporting the inward travel to Ireland of International presenters, curators and promoters to see new Irish work available for international touring. Cultural Supports operate the Basic Income for the Arts pilot scheme, a 3-year research project examining the impact of paying artists a weekly Basic Income.
