Tríona Quill

Tríona Quill is the Assistant Secretary for Broadcsting and Media Policy, and has Head of Division Level responsibility for the following:

Engaging with the European Commission, EU partners and Council of Europe on broadcasting, media and online safety policy and new and emerging European legislation
Development of the policy and legislative framework for broadcasting and media in Ireland
Supporting a cross-Government approach to digital and online safety policy and regulation, including through relevant interdepartmental committees
Establishment and development of Coimisiún na Meán (the Media Commission) to oversee regulation of the sector
Implementation of recommendations arising out of the Future of Media Commission
Developing policy and sustainable funding for RTÉ & TG4 and supporting the development of the wider broadcasting and media sectors.
Corporate governance responsibilities in relation to RTÉ, TG4 and Coimisiún na Meán
Operating the media mergers review process.
