Richie McMahon is the Assistant Director General with responsibility for the Social Statistics Directorate.
Richie was appointed Assistant Director General with responsibility for Social and Demographic Statistics in October 2014. He previously served as Senior Statistician for Social Data Collection and Programme Manager of the Household Survey Development project.
Richie joined the CSO in 1993. He has worked as a statistician in the Agriculture and Business Statistics areas. He managed the Services Statistics and Short-term Business Statistics Divisions from 2007 to 2013.
He is a graduate of University College Dublin where he completed his primary degree, a B. Comm in 1990, and was awarded a M. Econ Science in 1992
