Biography

Fiona Woodyatt

Fiona has held key leadership roles in her 22 years with the Chief State Solicitor’s Office. She was appointed to head up the Immigration and Asylum Section in 2024 where she leads a large team providing solicitor services in the area of immigration and asylum law.

Fiona previously held the roles of Head of Legal to the Criminal Assets Section (CAS) where her team exclusively provided legal services to the Criminal Assets Bureau, Principal Solicitor in the Commercial Contracts section of the CSSO advising the Office of Government Procurement and State Departments, Senior Legal Adviser in the CSSO’s Judicial Review section and she was also seconded as Legal Adviser to the Child and Family Agency.

Educated in University College Galway, Fiona qualified as a solicitor in 2003
