The Commission on the Defence Forces public consultation commenced on 22 January 2021, with an initial closing date of 5 March 2021 for the receipt of submissions. This was later extended to 19 March 2021 due to the significant level of interest and requests to have more time provided. A small number of submissions were received after the extended closing date and these have also been taken into account by the Commission.
All submissions are now published below, together with an initial report on the public consultation. For ease of reference, submissions have been grouped into the following categories:
- Government Departments and Agencies
- Representative Associations and Trade Unions
- Political Parties and Public Representatives
- Business and Interest Groups
- Academics
- Individuals
Confidential and personal information has been redacted from the published submissions.
