The Forest Service has the responsibility for the collection and publication of forest statistics. An annual forest statistics report had been published by the state since its foundation up to 1988, but was discontinued thereafter. This publication reinstates annual reporting on the forest estate and forest industry and brings together previously published and new statistics into a single publication.
