The Finance Accounts, which are prepared under Section 4 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993, contain detailed analysis and classification of the payments into and out of the Central Fund as well as details of the National Debt.
They also contain certain other statements and footnoted information.
The Finance Accounts have a statutorily specified purpose in relation to providing an annual statement of the transactions, recorded on a cash basis, of the Central Fund.
The Finance Accounts do not purport to be a comprehensive financial statement for the State, its assets and liabilities.
