Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is preparing plans to introduce a cycle route on Monkstown Road from Monkstown Village to Temple Hill in Blackrock.
In addition to the introduction of a cycle route, the scheme aims to reduce traffic speeds along Monkstown Road in the interest of the safety of all road users.
