The Department of Education and Skills is proposing to put in place new legislation to more fully reflect the Higher Education Authority’s (HEA) current central role and responsibilities in relation to higher education, in order to support higher education institutions to be the best in Europe.
A report on the consultation process undertaken in 2018, together with the response of the Department of Education and Skills to the issues raised and a proposed framework for the new legislation can be viewed here
