On 22 August 2018 a ‘Strawman’ proposal for an Automatic Enrolment retirement savings system was published. The ‘Strawman’ proposal contained a possible approach to an Automatic Enrolment (AE) system and provided the basis for a wide ranging national public consultation process on the operational structure and design of the system.
The closing date for written submissions was 4 November 2018 and a total of 107 written submissions were received from a diverse range of stakeholders including employer and employee representatives, industry bodies, advocacy groups and interested individuals.
Submissions were also received and acknowledged on behalf of Aon, Dimensional, PensionBee, Ulster Bank and Willis Towers Watson.
