It is proposed to introduce a traffic signal control system on the junction of the R267 / Donegal Town Public / Solo Road, Donegal Town to enhanced safety, functionality and connectivity for pedestrians and vehicles and to facilitate an increase in traffic volumes and provide additional capacity to meet the full development aspirations for Donegal Town.
The project will be carried out in accordance with the drawings associated with this application and will include:
• Provision of new signalised junction in accordance with the drawings provided.
• Upgrade of footpath as appropriate to facilitate pedestrian crossings,
• Realignment of junction radii as appropriate,
• New road markings, signage, drainage works, landscaping, and accommodation works.
• The project will be carried out in accordance with Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
Waste material arising from the site will be reused within the works where appropriate, unsuitable materials will be removed a licensed waste facility.
