The Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) is leading the development of a Carbon Farming Framework to support putting farmers, landowners, and foresters at the centre of meeting our National Climate objectives. This framework aims to increase the ambition and participation of our land managers in the areas of carbon removal, emission reductions, and ecosystem services. Public consultation is an important element of this process and provides an opportunity for stakeholders to submit their views as regards carbon farming and related issues such as concerns around land use, funding, and market mechanisms.
The objective of this public consultation is to obtain feedback from stakeholders on the scope of a Carbon Farming Framework for Ireland.
