A project team comprising KPMG, Future Analytics Consulting (FAC) and TU Dublin has been appointed by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform to carry out a study on productivity in the construction sector and to provide advice on future policy and industry strategy.
Desktop research involving a literature review and international comparative analysis, and an extensive stakeholder consultation process form the two key research strands of the project. A high quality and pragmatic roadmap to overcoming productivity challenges within the sector can only be delivered where a comprehensive cross-sectoral consultation has been carried out. The consultation process comprises the following elements: an online survey, a call for submissions, interviews/small focus group sessions, and workshops.
This survey is the first step in the consultation process. We would greatly appreciate if you could complete the survey and share with your colleagues and/or member base, where relevant.
Please note that all survey responses are anonymous.
The survey link will remain open until Friday 2nd August 2019.
The purpose of the survey is to assist in the identification of key issues facing the sector and potential solutions. The findings of this will allow us to plan for and define the focus of interviews and workshops to be held later in the summer or autumn.
The project team welcome submissions from interested parties. Submissions may be sent to William.hynes@futureanalytics.ie or fionn.jenkinson@per.gov.ie , up to Friday 2nd August 2019.
A suggested structure/template for submissions is available below:
