The Offshore Renewable Energy Development Plan (OREDP), published in February 2014, identifies the opportunity for the sustainable development of Ireland's abundant offshore renewable energy resources. It sets out key principles, policy actions and enablers for delivery of Ireland's significant potential in this area. The OREDP and its implementation is overseen by a Steering Group established by the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment. As part of an interim-term review of the OREDP, focussed on progress to date and challenges arising, a draft document was launched for public consultation in October 2017.
This Public Consultation Closed on 19 December 2017. A summary of the responses received to this public consultation can be found in the OREDP Interim Review Public Consultation Report.
