Longford is one of 26 towns in Ireland that is developing a Town Centre First Plan via support from the Our Rural Future Strategy led by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
This plan will align with the ambitions of the Town Centre First Policy to create town centres that function as viable, vibrant and attractive locations for people to live, work and visit, whilst also functioning as the service, social, cultural and recreational hub for the local community.
Longford County Council has appointed independent 'place shaping' consultants from S3 Solutions, Park Hood Landscape Architects and Venturei Network to support the development of the plan.
You are invited to complete the following online survey and share your thoughts and ideas on how the plan should consider proposals focused on public realm, regeneration of vacant buildings and derelict sites, transport, walkways and river access, housing and town centre living, community infrastructure, Longford town identity and marketing.
