Public consultation on a proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on addressing geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination based on customers’ nationality, place of residence or place of establishment within the internal market and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC.
The EU Commission recently published a new draft regulation on addressing geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination based on customers’ nationality, place of residence or place of establishment within the internal market. As part of the national scrutiny of the proposal, the Department welcomes views on the draft regulation and invites stakeholders to lodge their submissions with the Department by the closing date on 18 July, 2016.
