The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage is currently reviewing its Statement of Strategy for the period 2024 – 2026.
The Department’s Statement of Strategy reflects the Department’s commitments in the Programme for Government – Our Shared Future , Climate Action Plan and the National Planning Framework among others. The Strategy Statement serves as a framework for the Department’s work, structured around the Department’s mission and seven strategic goals. It provides information on how progress in achieving those goals will be monitored, by identifying measurable outputs, outcomes and performance indicators.
The Statement of Strategy 2024-2026 will be an opportunity to take into consideration both progress made and the evolving context of the past three years, to reflect and represent a more informed position for the period 2024-2026.

The Department is now inviting submissions in relation to its Strategy Statement. Please email your submission to strategy@housing.gov.ie. .
The closing date for receipt of submissions is 5pm, Friday 09 August 2024.
Respondents are advised that the Department is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2014, the European Communities (Access to Information on the Environment) Regulations 2007-2014, and Data Protection legislation.
With the exception of a name and address, personal, confidential or commercially sensitive information should not be included in your submission or observations and it will be presumed that all information contained in your submission is releasable under the Freedom of Information Act 2014.
