Public Realm Enhancement of Ringaskiddy Village centre including:
- realigning, modification and reduction of existing road carriageway widths, Provision of raised toucan crossing points and the relocation of bus stops. Modification & widening of existing paths to facilitate shared use
- reconfiguration of existing car parking spaces. The works will also include paving, seating, bike parking, soft landscaping, drainage, urban trees, lighting, and all associated site works.Enhanced street living to include inclusive street furniture (universal), cycle parking, rain gardens, trees and shrubs and permanent canopies at East Beach
- upgrade of public lighting and other ancillary works
- works to cast-iron railings on Westbourne Place RPS ID 1948
- pedestrianisation of the Eastern carriageway on Casement Square
- the Western carriageway on Casement Square is to become one way southbound
- alteration of junction priority at the junction of Canon O’Leary Place and Bishop’s Road
- demolition of existing council owned single storey shed located at south end of West View
- creation of new exit at the Southern end of Small’s Well Carpark, creating a through road, North to South, exiting onto Canon O’Leary Place
