Temporary Road R585 Poularick to Beal na Blath to facilitate road resurfacing

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R585 Poularick to Beal na Blath.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs on Thursday 13th August 2020 to 20.00hrs on Friday 28th August 2020

(Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing.

Alternative Routes

Eastbound Traffic: At Gloun Cross follow the R-587 through Kilmichael. At Toons Bridge join the R-584 and travel towards Harnetts Cross and the N22. On the N22 travel east towards Cork.

Westbound Traffic: At Crookstown follow the R-590 west towards the Stage Cross on the N22. Follow the N22 west towards Harnett Cross. At Harnetts Cross follow the

R-584 to Toons Bridge. At Toons Bridge follow the R-587 to Gloun Cross. Rejoin the R-585 heading west.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-115-2020, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 28th July 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
