Developing and managing the policy framework for the Bovine TB eradication programme, which includes annual testing of all cattle, valuation and compensation measures and to protect consumers of Irish food and the health and welfare of animals by providing for effective regulation of the Irish veterinary medicines market and by checking for the presence of illegal residues in food.
