Animal By Product Processing Operations – Trade under Article 48 of Regulation (EC) No. 1069 of 2009

In order to be authorized to send animal by-products to another EU member state, you must fill out the application form below. This form adheres to EU trade standards under Article 48 of Regulation (EC) No. 1069 of 2009.

Animal by-products (ABPs) are materials of animal origin that people do not consume. ABPs include:

• Animal feed (based on fishmeal and processed animal protein)
• Organic fertilisers and soil improvers (manure, guano, processed OF/SI on the base of processed animal protein)
• Technical products (pet food, hides and skins for leather, wool, blood for producing diagnostic tools)
