Calf-Reg App

Calf-Reg enables farmers to register calves conveniently from their smartphones. The app allows you to increase your productivity by completing calf registrations wherever you are.

Connected to your AgFood account, Calf-Reg allows you to complete the following tasks:

• create, save and submit calf registrations directly to Animal Identification and Movement (AIM)
• view registrations including those not sent, awaiting registration and recent registrations that have been completed in the last 30 days
• stored data allows you to view the tag number, date of birth and breed of all female animals in your herd, along with all unused tags currently available to you
• the app works offline so that you may record registrations and submit them later when you have internet access

As well as completing basic calf registrations, Calf-Reg also records genetic details such as genetic dam, sire tag number, AI code and the calving survey.

Before using the Calf-Reg app on your mobile device, you should note the following important points:

• you must be registered on agfood.ie for online services to use the Calf-Reg app
• if you are not registered with agfood.ie, go to the site, click the register button and follow the instructions
• you must be registered as a herdkeeper on agfood.ie to register the birth of an animal
• the animal must be registered within 27 days of its birth
• you can only register tags which have been issued to your own herd
