What a Sheep Flock Register is
Sheep Flock Registers record details of the number of sheep on a farm and details of their movements. Flock Registers supplied by the Department of Agriculture allow you to record this information.
What you must do
Under the National Sheep Identification System (NSIS) it is a legal requirement for sheep farmers to keep records of the individual animal identification number attached to the animals.
It is also a legal requirement to keep a written record of the movement of animals onto or off the farm. Flock Registers are issued to all registered sheep flock owners to allow them to record this information.
