What is the Tillage and Horticulture Support 2024?
Irish tillage and horticultural growers have experienced significant challenges in 2024 due to a combination of continued high input costs, reduced output prices and the adverse impacts of wet weather.
In recognition of these challenges, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) is introducing an additional support payment for those farmers with tillage and horticultural crops in Scheme year 2024.
How to Qualify?
To be eligible for consideration under the Tillage and Horticulture Support Payment, you must have submitted a valid 2024 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) application declaring a minimum of one hectare of an eligible crop as listed in the Terms and Conditions of the 2024 Tillage and Horticulture Support.
Do I need to complete and submit an application?
The support is a Top Up payment based on the determined eligible areas as per BISS 2024
What is the Rate of Payment
A payment rate of €100 per hectare of eligible crops will apply.
