European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)
A long way to go for LGBTI equality - this report published in 2020 presents findings from the FRA’s 2019 survey on LGBTI people in the EU and North Macedonia and Serbia. With almost 140,000 participants, it is the largest survey of its kind. It follows the agency’s first survey on LGBT people in the EU, conducted in 2012.
The LGBTIQ equality at a Crossroads report is the third wave of the FRA’s survey. It presents results showing gradual progress in equality over time. The findings contribute to developing legal and policy responses to meet the needs of LGBTIQ people and protect their fundamental rights. The report sets out ways forward for the EU and Member States to ensure dignity and equality.
