Principal Officer, EU and International Unit

Responsibility at Principal Officer level for the coordination of international matters on behalf of the Department: strengthening policy developments between the department and key partners, notably the EU, Council of Europe, OECD and UN, supporting reporting obligations in the international space. This Unit also manages the Department’s responsibilities on North/South matters, leads on preparing for Ireland's EU Presidency in 2026 and serves as the National Liaison for the EU’s Fundamental Rights Agency.
