Biography

Deirdre Fennelly

Deirdre Fennelly is the Principal Officer leading the Energy Engagement and National Energy Coordination Section at the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment. She is responsible for leading on coordination of cross-cutting energy material across the department's 3 Energy areas including input into national and inter-departmental fora and engagement with key stakeholders. The Project Management Office for the Heat and Built Environment Taskforce is in Deirdre's team, as is the responsibility for the corporate governance of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). The section also leads on the coordination, negotiation and transposition of the Energy Efficiency Directive.
