Principal Officer, Renewable Electricity

The Renewable Electricity Section supports the work of the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment and government in the development of onshore renewable electricity policy to support Ireland’s target of 80% of electricity demand to be supplied by renewable energy sources by 2030. The Section leads on the Accelerating Renewable Electricity Taskforce and oversees the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) auction programme, spatial planning for onshore wind and solar technologies as well as small scale and community renewable energy policy.
