Local Authority Swimming Pool Programme

Grant aid from the State is made available to local authorities and bodies supported by local authorities, towards the cost of providing new swimming pools or refurbishing of existing pools. The closing date for receipt of applications under the current Programme was 31 July 2000 and since then some 55 applications have been or are being dealt with. Future swimming pool projects will be funded under the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSSIF)".
A report into value for money for the scheme was completed in 2008.
The current programme is closed to new applicants.
