Our Civil Defence

Civil Defence is a statutory, volunteer-based organization that supports principal response agencies (like An Garda Síochána, the HSE, and local authorities) and other government and state organizations during emergencies and non-emergencies. They deal with severe weather events and search and rescue operations, and also provide support for over 1,000 community, sporting, and charitable events annually.
