Gary Ó Donnchadha

The Deputy Chief Inspector has strategic leadership and oversight of evaluation support, development of data systems and data collection and analysis, data policy and data management in the Inspectorate, Inspectorate communications, induction and continuous professional development, and the Section 29 process. He oversees Ireland’s policy engagements with the Board of Governors of the European Schools, in consultation with the head of delegation. He also leads overall policy support in areas of creativity, diversity and inclusion, access and participation, curriculum and assessment, early years, professional development for practitioners, teachers and leaders and Irish and Irish-medium education.
