As Finance Officer, Tom is responsible for providing budgetary and financial services for the Department in the following main areas:
• Securing investment for the education system in schools that allows for the delivery of the strategic goals of the Department
• Monitoring and management of expenditure and staffing numbers
• Supporting the Minister's and Accounting Officer's accountability to the Oireachtas and reporting to Government
