Department of Education Planning Framework
The Department of Education operates a planning framework which seeks to prioritise the delivery of our strategic objectives and develop strong support structures to ensure effective implementation. This framework includes the development of an annual statement of priorities, regular progress reporting, evaluation and longer term strategic planning.
Education Plan 2025
Education Plan 2025 is the annual plan for the Department of Education and Youth and is in line with the commitments set out in the Programme for Government.
This comprehensive plan sets out a substantial programme of work to be carried out by the Department in 2025. It demonstrates a commitment to delivery across the sector, to ensure that together with partners, a world class education system can be delivered which breaks down barriers and ensures every child can achieve their full potential
To ensure that progress on delivery of actions under the Education Plan is measurable and transparent, the Department is committed to publishing biannual progress reports.
