Under the Teaching Transforms banner, targeted campaigns have run over radio, social media, national press and digital advertising to encourage young people and those thinking of a career change to consider a career in teaching.
This work is overseen by the Teacher Supply Communications Working Group, as an action under the Teacher Supply Action Plan which aims to address some of the teacher supply challenges in the education system and to ensure a sufficient supply of teachers at primary and post-primary level.

CAO and PME Application Closing Date Campaign: December 2020 to February 2021
The campaign was designed not just to encourage young people to consider a career in teaching, but also to highlight the importance of diversity in the classroom. Through focus groups and research, student teachers and teachers from a range of diverse backgrounds provided great insights into their perceptions of the challenges they faced in entering teaching.
