Submissions for a new Statement of Strategy 2019-2021

The Department of Education and Skills, in accordance with the Public Service Management Act 1997, is developing a new Strategy Statement which will set out the Department’s strategic vision for the period 2019-2021 and we would welcome your input.

The intention is that the new strategy statement will build on progress to-date, allow for the implementation of recently introduced reforms and continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of the education system for all learners.

The Strategy Statement will set clear goals and high level priority actions to achieve our vision and to set key strategic directions that will provide for a period of continuous improvement and reform. Each year we will develop an Action Plan framed by the goals of the Statement of Strategy which will outline our high level work programme for the year.
