The School Secretaries Leave Administration section of the Department holds responsibility for the development of leave policy for School Secretaries covered by the terms of the 2022 Workplace Relation Commission (WRC) Agreement employed in a recognized primary and voluntary secondary schools and community and comprehensive schools.
What we do
Development of leave policy
- Drafting and publishing of circulars governingleave entitlements for school secretaries covered by the terms of the 2022 Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) agreement
- Consulting with Education Partners on draft Circulars
- Ongoing review and monitoring of leave available to School Secretaries
Administration of the implementation of leave of absences for School Secretaries
- Respond to leave queries through phone calls, emails and correspondence
- Calculate leave entitlements
- Support school management in leave-related matters
