Department of Education and Skills -- New Irish Language Scheme

Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Seán Kyne TD has recently confirmed the new Irish Language Schemeof the Department of Education and Skills.

This scheme will come into effect from 1 February 2020 and remain in force for a period of three years or until such time as a new scheme is confirmed by the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

This fourth Irish Language Scheme consolidates and builds on the commitments made in the previous schemes. The Department remains committed to ensuring compliance with the scheme.
