What the Cycle to Work Scheme is
The Cycle to Work Scheme is for teachers, special needs assistants, clerical officers, caretakers and child care workers paid on payrolls operated by the Department of Education as paymaster.

Apply
When applying, complete the Application Form and submit a copy of the quotation/invoice from the selected bicycle supplier to the appropriate Payroll Section. Applications can be submitted electronically using the payroll contact form and selecting “Cycle to Work” from the drop down menu under “select a query topic” Click here for more
Alternatively postal applications can be submitted to the relevant payroll: Primary Teachers or Post Primary Teachers or Non-Teaching Staff Payrolls Section, Department of Education, Cornamaddy, Athlone, County Westmeath, N37 X659.
Once your application has been processed you will receive a letter of confirmation. Payment for your bicycle will issue directly to your supplier’s bank account within 15 working days of the date of your confirmation letter. Contact your supplier to arrange collection of your bicycle.
