What the Emergency Works Scheme is
The Emergency Works Scheme ensures the availability of funding for urgent works to schools that need resources as a result of an emergency situation, or to cater for special needs pupils who have enroled.
An emergency is a situation which poses an immediate risk to health, life, property or the environment, that happens in sudden, unforeseen circumstances and requires immediate action, and if not corrected, would prevent the school, or part of it, from opening.
This scheme cannot be used to supplement previous applications under other schemes that were refused funding.
Apply
Primary and post-primary schools that need emergency works must apply under this scheme by completing the online Emergency Works Application Form available through the Esinet system.
EWS applications can be found under the Devolved Projects tab.
Relevant and supporting information must be provided to support your claim for emergency grant aid. All applications will be dealt with on an individual basis.
