Chemicals (Amendment) Act 2010 (No 32 of 2010)

The Chemicals (Amendment) Act 2010 amends the Chemicals Act 2008 (and also the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005).

The Chemicals Acts 2008 and 2010 provide for the implementation and enforcement of a number of EU Regulations. These are:

• REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals);
• Detergents;
• Rotterdam (export/import); and
• CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures).
