Health and safety obligations in relation to different types of activity

Employers must ensure that their employees can perform their work duties in a safe environment. The Health and Safety Authority is the national body in Ireland which has responsibility for ensuring that over 2 million workers, who are employed and self-employed, and those affected by work activity are protected from work related injury and illness.
