Dermot Coates

Dermot Coates has responsibility at PO Level for the Economic and Tax Policy Unit and is head of the secretariat of the National Competitiveness and Productivity Council. The unit provides the Council with research, analysis and secretariat support, on competitiveness and productivity issues facing the Irish economy and offers recommendations on policy actions required to enhance Ireland’s competitive position. He is also responsible for tax strategy within the department.
