Public Consultation - Action Plan on Competitiveness and Productivity

Consultation is open

The objective of this consultation is to gather views from relevant stakeholders in relation to the Action Plan on Competitiveness and Productivity.

Background

Amid increasing global economic uncertainty – driven by a dynamic geopolitical backdrop and a rapidly shifting trading landscape – small, open economies like Ireland face very clear challenges. In recognition of this, the Programme for Government ‘Securing Ireland’s Future’ sets out a commitment to develop a new whole of government Action Plan on Competitiveness and Productivity.

The aim of the Action Plan will be to boost innovation, investment and productivity in key areas of the economy to increase Ireland’s international competitiveness and resilience in light of the evolving geopolitical and international trade environment.

The Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment has now launched a public consultation on the Action Plan to gain feedback from members of the public, Irish enterprise and other stakeholders on their views on the necessary actions to improve Ireland’s competitiveness and productivity performance.
