The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD, the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross TD, and the Minister for Tourism and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan TD, launched the public consultation on the resale of tickets for entertainment and sporting events on 20 January 2017. The consultation was undertaken in response to public concern at the resale of tickets for major entertainment and sporting events at a price often well in excess of their face value.

The consultation ran until the closing date of 31 March 2017. Questions asked by the consultation can be found from page 61 of the Consultation document.
