The current Irish language scheme of the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation can be found at: Irish Language Scheme.
This scheme was drafted in accordance with Section 15 of the Official Languages Act. The primary objective of the Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish. This Irish language scheme is due to cease in September 2018. The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation proposes to draft a new language scheme in accordance with Section 15 of that Act. The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation now wishes to invite submissions in relation to the preparation of the new draft scheme from any interested parties.
Submissions should be forwarded to: gaeilge@dbei.gov.ie
Alternatively, they may be posted to: Customer Service Unit (R. 207), Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, 23 Kildare Street, Dublin 2.
The latest date for receipt of submissions is 5pm on Friday, 22 June 2018.
Submissions received may be placed on the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation’s website.
